Reece Mizelle

September 17, 2010

Okay, we all know that the independent music scene in general in a suburban environment is going to have to fight off attempts of suppression; but that suppression may be even more amplified for any budding hip hop and beat making that attempts to fight through the barriers of “corporate decency” because lets face it, hip hop still has a bad “rap”(sorry bad pun) in the eyes of mainstream suburban culture. But there are MCs out there and producers that are using hip hop as a chance to express real substantive music and poetry, they break the mold of mainstream rap and bring us something more real, and finally they have the courage to do their thing in a suburban environment.

Reece Mizelle could be the best example of I’m writing about here, I don’t want to get to into what he is about because he is going to be featured in issue 4 of our magazine. In the meantime check out a little sample of what this guy is capable of with “The Beatsupreme Tape Vol. 1”
