Masato Nakada

September 6, 2010

This day and age, you don’t need much hands-on skill to be a recognized “artist.” Photography and graphic design seem to be even easier. Many “designers” simply pirate the Adobe Creative Suite, take a typography class and boom!: They have a basic understanding of Helvetica and a client list.

Just like that.

Masato Nakada isn’t like that. Just a quick look at his website shows versatility, and craftsmanship that’s not often seen in the digital age we live in. Posters, tote bags, shirts, books, and even bookcases, Masato is using design to make the world a more inhabitable place. Not just as a form of advertisement, as it so often is.
