ProxartMag Issue 2, in the flesh!

September 3, 2010

OMG. OMG. Proxart Magazine, Summer 2010 is now available in print through MagCloud.

We’re super excited about this for three reasons:

  1. Issue 2 is chock-full of some of the best suburban art we could find. If you don’t believe us, check out the PDF.
  2. Proxart was designed with print in mind. Sure, we live in the digital age, but there’s something special about holding a piece of printed material in your hands. This is the way we designed it, and we hope you get a chance to experience it as it was intended to be experienced.
  3. We’re gearing up to launch Issue 3 at the end of this month, and it will be available in print as well. Issue 1 should be getting put up there pretty soon! Trifecta.

The issue is available for 11 bones. Why $11? Well, MagCloud charges 20 cents production cost per page, and $1 for the spine. That comes to $9 for production. The $2 above the $9 will pay (for the beer that keeps us sane through our staff meetings…) help us get closer to either a) mass printing the magazine in the future, b) getting the equipment we need to produce our radio show, or c) both.

We really hope you go ahead and order a copy. We know you’ll enjoy it.

p.s. Of course, if you’d rather just download the mobile or spread version from our site, there’s always that too.
p.p.s. If you’re a store-owner and you’d like to order multiple copies, email us for bulk pricing: magazine@proxart.org

We have at least two MAJOR things in common: I also feel that there’s no digital age substitute for holding quality printed material in your hands. Oh, and beer keeps me sane too. Best of luck with the new mag!
