Favorite Moments from No Dancing

January 18, 2010

Greetings and salutations! A big hearty thank you to all who came to No Dancing on Saturday at Brave New World. We had a great time hanging out with Atom! and Portlyn (the owners of BNW), listening to awesome bands, enjoying local art, and raising tons of money for disaster relief in Haiti. So for those who attended, we want to know:

What was your favorite moment from No Dancing?

I loved The Oceanographers performance. That sax was sexy.

DUDE just one? uhhh. Sarah Johnston’s voice. First Class Funeral’s style. Alma’s old superheroes. Steven’s musical photos. Oh yeah… and finally getting to play Oceanographers songs for you. And having a long ass set. Thanks for not booing us off the stage. 😛

Finally seeing Zach play drums. And hearing the Oceanographers. Magnificent!

By far, my favorite moment came during the Oceanographer’s set. I was outside at the door letting people in, when I caught a glimpse of Nate standing on the counter with Portlyn of Brave New World, enjoying the show and drinking root beer. They stood out so much, yet seemed so at ease. Definitely a moment I’ll never forget.

For me it was easily just the entire moment of being on stage playing in front of so many cool people including so many good friends! And catching First Class Funeral again while being able to hang out with those same cool people after the show and just have great conversations….

Seriously, that could have been the best No Dancing ever!
