Art Show to Save Town Grind

July 22, 2009

If you’re unaware, there are about 4,000 Starbucks locations in Santa Clarita – and there is… well… 1 locally owned coffee shop*. That 1 locally owned coffee shop is The Town Grind in Newhall, and let’s just say that they’re struggling a bit to stay in business.

So, this Friday from 7-10pm, a ton of local artists have come together to try and help Town Grind stay alive.

Here’s the skinny:

Music by:
B.Y.O.F.F.
Tim Bayona
Sunny Afternoon
Beard Papa
Hatchlings
Roschtoshvana
Sixteen Ton

In addition, there will also be an art swap. Basically, everyone is encouraged to bring a piece of art (drawings, paintings, music, photos, mix tapes, film, crafts, writing, zines, sculptures, etc) to trade with anyone and everyone.

Should be an awesome time of music, visual art. Good food, good friends, and good conversation; as well as an opportunity to help a locally owned business continue operating.

If you need any more info about this, please feel free to leave us a comment or email us.

We hope to see you there!!!

p.s. here’s a flyer for you to steal. you can put it up anywhere you’d like:

* I could be TOTALLY wrong on this, but I’m pretty sure that Town Grind is it – am I wrong?
